Pastoral Care & Wellbeing

A Structured and Supportive Environment

Wellbeing at AG International is built on clarity, respect and strong adult presence.

We believe that students thrive when expectations are transparent and relationships are professional, consistent and caring. A calm and orderly environment is not incidental — it is intentionally created.

Our culture combines structure with warmth. Clear boundaries create safety. Safety creates confidence.

A Respectful and Focused School Culture

Daily life at AGI reflects our values in practice.

Corridors are calm. Classrooms are orderly. Students move between lessons with purpose. Courtesy and mutual respect define interactions between peers and between students and adults.

There is no tolerance for disruptive behaviour, but there is strong guidance for those who need support. Expectations are clear, and they are upheld consistently by all adults in the school.

This creates a more mature environment where students can concentrate fully on their studies and personal development.

Visible and Engaged Adults

Pastoral care is not confined to an office.

Teachers and staff work closely with students throughout the school day. Adult presence in corridors and common areas ensures that guidance and support are always nearby. Students are seen, greeted and supported in everyday interactions.

This continuous adult engagement strengthens relationships and prevents small concerns from becoming larger issues.

Wellbeing is proactive, not reactive.

Strong Value-Based Framework

Our core values — Courage, Kindness, Knowledge & Curiosity, and Grit — shape behaviour and expectations.

These values are practiced consistently and reinforced in daily routines.

When values are clear and consistently applied, students feel secure in what is expected of them.

Professional Student Support

Each AGI campus has a dedicated Student Support Team. This includes counsellors, school nurses, special education professionals, psychologists and access to medical expertise.

Support is available for academic, emotional and developmental needs. Students and families can seek guidance when required, and staff collaborate to ensure that each student receives appropriate support.

Wellbeing and academic achievement are closely connected. Our student support structures reflect that understanding.

Gradual Independence

As students grow, they are given increasing responsibility. Pastoral care at AGI balances independence with guidance. Students are encouraged to make decisions, reflect on consequences and take ownership of their development.

Freedom is offered within clear boundaries. This combination builds maturity and self-regulation.

A Calm Foundation for Growth

A stable and respectful environment allows students to focus on what matters most: learning, developing confidence and preparing for future responsibility.

Wellbeing at AGI is not an add-on. It is embedded in our structure, our leadership and our culture.

Students are supported. Expectations are clear. Adults are present.

That is how we create an environment where young people can grow with confidence.
